Global Knowledge Offers Exclusive SharePoint Server 2010 Course

Cary, N.C. - April 20, 2010 - Global Knowledge today announced the availability of its new Advanced IT Pro Course for Microsoft Office 2010 SharePoint Server, in which students will gain the knowledge and skills to take full advantage of the new Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 features.

In the five-day, instructor-led course that combines lecture and lab exercises, students will create an upgrade plan from SharePoint Server 2007 to SharePoint Server 2010 and learn the new SharePoint Server 2010 features. Students will design and configure a SharePoint 2010 server farm, and they will configure service applications. During class, students will learn to configure SharePoint Server 2010 security features, create and manage sites and site collections, and integrate Microsoft Office. They will learn to implement disaster recovery, set up backup and restore features, and configure and implement Business Data Services. They also will learn what Powershell is and how to use it.

Incoming students should have at least two years of experience implementing, managing, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2003/8 and supporting Internet Information Services, and they should have knowledge of key benefits of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server and how it fits into a corporate information strategy.
